OCSE PUBBLICA IL REPORT TAXING WAGES 2023: RITORNA IL 'FISCAL DRAG'


L’Ocse ha pubblicato il report Taxing Wages 2023 che analizza l’andamento e l’impatto del cuneo fiscale nei Paesi membri dell’Organizzazione. Nel 2022 le imposte sui redditi da lavoro sono aumentate in tutta l’area Ocse a causa dell’aumento dei salari nominali, che ha spinto i redditi verso scaglioni fiscali più elevati, riducendo al contempo l’ammissibilità a crediti d’imposta e altri benefici in denaro. L’elevata inflazione ha poi causato un calo dei salari reali, con un doppio colpo per i contribuenti. Il fenomeno è noto come “fiscal drag” (Drenaggio Fiscale) e si manifesta quando si verifica un aumento della pressione fiscale sul reddito a causa di una inflazione in forte crescita. Il report Ocse esamina nel dettaglio anche le variazioni del cuneo fiscale, ossia la differenza tra lo stipendio lordo versato dal datore di lavoro e la retribuzione netta ricevuta dal lavoratore, e pone sotto indagine otto tipologie di famiglie, che variano per livello di reddito e composizione del nucleo familiare.
