Gli standard di sostenibilità anche per le PMI


Le grandi imprese già nel 2025 dovranno rendicontare la propria situazione in tema di sostenibilità, in conformità agli European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), con riferimento all’esercizio 2024.  Ma la sostenibilità non è argomento solo per le “grandi”! Le PMI, caratterizzanti la maggior parte del tessuto imprenditoriale italiano, sono e saranno sempre più interessate dai criteri ESG e quindi dalla rendicontazione di sostenibilità, per mantenere ed accrescere la propria competitività sul mercato. I consumatori sono infatti sempre più attenti a come si posizionano le imprese nei confronti dell’ambiente, dei lavoratori e della comunità in generale. Ma non è tutto, le imprese di grandi dimensioni porranno sempre più attenzione agli standard seguiti dei propri fornitori. Per non rimanere esclusi dal mercato l’attenzione alla sostenibilità sarà quindi un tema sempre più rilevante, per tutti. Porre attenzione sul posizionamento della propria impresa rispetto l’ambiente esterno permette di svolgere delle analisi il cui risultato comporta, oltre che un miglioramento reputazionale e di mercato, un efficientemente delle proprie risorse e dei propri processi aziendali. Non ultimo, un rating di sostenibilità positivo, permette un accesso più agevolato al sistema creditizio. L’European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) sta lavorando alla creazione degli standard di rendicontazione semplificati destinati alle piccole e medie imprese (PMI), sia quotate che non quotate. Gli obiettivi delle bozze delle linee guida per le PMI non quotate sono: contribuire all’edificazione di un’economia più sostenibile e inclusiva, potenziare l’approccio alla gestione delle problematiche legate alla sostenibilità affrontate per accrescere la competitività rafforzare la resilienza delle imprese a breve, medio e lungo termine. Le linee guida hanno l’obiettivo di fornire informazioni cruciali per rispondere alla crescente richiesta di dati da parte di finanziatori e fornitori di credito, agevolando così l’accesso delle imprese ai necessari finanziamenti e di soddisfare le esigenze delle grandi imprese, le quali richiedono informazioni sulla sostenibilità ai propri fornitori (la cosiddetta “catena del valore”). Gli Standard volontari per le PMI non quotate (Vsme Ed) sono concepiti come uno strumento di segnalazione volontaria per le imprese non quotate che non rientrano nell’ambito del CSRD. Questo standard è articolato in tre moduli principali adattati alle diverse esigenze in base alle dimensioni e alle capacità delle PMI: Il Modulo Base, fondamentale per l’applicazione dei moduli successivi, soddisfa i requisiti informativi per le microimprese ed è un requisito minimo per le PMI di dimensioni più consistenti. In questo caso, non è necessaria un’analisi di materialità. Il Modulo Narrativa-Politiche, Azioni e Obiettivi (PAT) è consigliato per le imprese che hanno formalizzato politiche, azioni e obiettivi di sostenibilità. Qui, l’analisi della materialità è fondamentale per individuare le questioni di sostenibilità nell’Appendice B che sono rilevanti per l’attività e l’organizzazione dell’impresa. Il Modulo Sustainable Finance (SF) fornisce dati aggiuntivi richiesti da finanziatori, investitori e clienti aziendali. Anche qui, l’analisi di materialità è essenziale per limitare il report solo ai dati rilevanti per l’impresa. Gli Standard volontari per le PMI quotate (Lsme Ed) integrano l’intera gamma di moduli Vsme, includono ulteriori dati richiesti dalla sostenibilità finanziaria dell’Unione europea, contemplano informazioni aggiuntive richieste dalla Csrd e propongono adeguamenti in considerazione della prospettiva di una dichiarazione su base individuale.
