Deloitte pubblica il report con i risultati dei più grandi retailer del mondo: solo 4 italiane nella Top250


Deloitte ha pubblicato la 23° edizione dello studio Global Powers of Retailing in cui vengono analizzati i risultati dell'esercizio annuale al 30 giugno 2019 resi pubblici dai più grandi retailer del mondo. Una sintesi dei risultati: 4740 miliardi $ di fatturato totale per i 250 top retailer globali, +4,1% rispetto all'anno precedente Amazon continua la sua scalata in classifica, confermando una crescita a doppia cifra, la maggiore tra le aziende presenti nella Top 10 dei retailer mondiali Il podio si conferma interamente statunitense: guida la classifica Wal-Mart, da oltre 20 anni leader globale; seguono Costco al secondo posto e Amazon al terzo Tre le aziende europee in Top 10: Schwarz Group (Germania), seguito da Aldi Einkauf (Germania) e Tesco PLC (UK) L'Europa traina per numero di aziende presenti nella Top 250: sono 88 I retailer europei rappresentano il 35,2% delle aziende in classifica Le aziende europee sono le più globalizzate, con il 40,7% delle vendite provenienti da operazioni straniere Conad al 69° posto si attesta la prima società italiana in classifica, seguita da Coop Italia (71° posto), Esselunga (117°) ed Eurospin (158°), che avanza di ben 10 posizioni La Top 10, che continua ad essere dominata da player statunitensi, registra complessivamente un ritmo di crescita più elevato rispetto al resto della classifica (rispettivamente del 6,3% contro il 4,1% complessivo). La marginalità delle prime dieci aziende è cresciuta di 0,5 punti percentuali rispetto all'anno precedente, un risultato positivo nonostante la pressione esercitata sui rivenditori dall'intensa concorrenza, dall'aumento dei costi del lavoro, dagli effetti delle politiche protezioniste e dagli investimenti per migliorare l'ecommerce. L'Europa è invece ancora l'area geografica meglio rappresentata nella Top 250: sono 88 (quattro in più rispetto al Nord America) le aziende che hanno sede nella regione e tre di esse rientrano anche nella Top 10 (Schwarz, Aldi Einkauf, Tesco PLC). Le aziende europee contribuiscono al 34,4% delle revenue complessive della top 250, e i paesi più rappresentati sono Germania (19 aziende), Regno Unito (14) e Francia (12). "Anche per i retailer italiani si registra, nel FY18, un andamento positivo," spiega Claudio Bertone, Senior Partner Deloitte e Responsabile Settore Retail, Wholesale & Distibution "i quattro player del nostro paese presenti nella Top 250 dei big della distribuzione mondiale mostrano un avanzamento in classifica. Conad scavalca Coop, attestandosi il primo colosso italiano, collocandosi al 69esimo posto (+4 posizioni rispetto al FY17); seguono Coop stabile in 71° posizione ed Esselunga al 117° (+4 posizioni rispetto al FY2017); chiude Eurospin che avanza di ben 10 posizioni collocandosi al 158° posto della Top 250".
